If you have been following TechnixUpdate, you would know that rumors have been strong of a 7″ iPad to be launched in the first half of 2011, which may include features such as landscape docking, and front and rear cameras. Also, when Apple announced the new Mac OS X Lion, they put away all rumors that Apple is going to retire its desktop and laptop line of products and focus completely on portable products. If the latest chatter is to be believed, Apple will also upgrade its MacBook Pro and iMac line of computers, along with the iPad. This rumor comes from DigiTimes, who reports that the claims have been made by upscale component manufacturers, who have received orders for components for the new MacBook Pro and iMacs from Apple. According to the sources, Apple is expected to release at least four new MacBook Pro models, and a new iMac that features a new panel size and a reduced price, targeted towards the mainstream market. It seems unlikely however that Apple will include the touch feature in the iMac, as an earlier patent filed by them in August, described. Sources claim that Apple is expecting to ship around 10 million notebook computers in 2010.
