There may be times when you forget to perform a preinstallation task prior to starting the Windows Server 2008 R2 installation. Rather than restarting the operating system, you can access a command prompt from Setup or use advanced drive options to perform the necessary administrative tasks.
Using the Command Line During Installation
When you access a command prompt from Setup, you access the MINWINPC (mini Windows PC) environment used by Setup to install the OS. During installation, on the Where Do You Want To Install Windows page, you can access a command prompt by pressing Shift+F10. The mini Windows PC environment provides access to many of the same command-line tools that are available in a standard installation of Windows Server 2008 R2.
Here’s a look on all the available commands, mentioned below
ARP Displays and modifies the IP-to-physical address translation tables used by the Address Resolution Protocol (ARP).
ASSOC Displays and modifies file extension associations.
ATTRIB Displays and changes file attributes.

Google Chrome Operating System Getting Revealed On December 7

Hey!!! Google might be launching Google Chrome OS on December 7. When they mentioned that due to the release of Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the launch of Google Chrome OS will be delayed then I thought that they might be launching it on the third or fourth month of the next year, but now it’s a great surprise as Google is going to conduct an event on its Chrome OS on December 7^th, 2010 at San Francisco. In this news post I will be telling you that what we can really expect from that event.


    

   
This event has been organized by Chrome team so we can obviously expect that they will be introducing us to Chrome OS, this OS developed for today’s netbooks, during the announcement of this product last year in July, they mentioned that this product will be developed keeping in mind about the need of the smart netbooks in the present era. This OS will be an Open Source product and they also mentioned that they will be emphasizing on the reduced time to boot and the reduced start up time.
We can also expect Google to launch their notebook equipped with Google Chrome OS and do not forget about the launch of Google App Store/ Chrome Web. Now it is the time for Microsoft to prepare for a severe completion in the market, almost everybody is addicted to Windows now a days but let’s see what will Google Chrome OS, moreover when they are launching it as an Open Source (atleast I am going to be the one who will be using it for sure). Now in that case what can a helpless parent do? So here we are again with a solution for one of your problems.With Watch4Folder you will be easily able to monitor your file and folders and see he changes made in the log section and save it to see afterwards.

It is very easy to use this application and all you have to do is run the exe file, after that you will see the above window.

1. The first step is to select the folder you want to monitor.
2. Second step is to select the events you  want to monitor.
3. Third step is to select the actions on events
4. And last but not the least don’t forget to press the start monitoring button.

You can select a number of events to monitor like file create, file delete, file change, file rename and many more. With that you also choose to perform an action when the change takes place that includes to execute a program or a batch file or write a log file, you can also select to popup a message or a desktop alert.
Then all you have to do is switch to the live log tab which will show you what all changes have taken place. For example, I chose to monitor the delete action on one of the folder and here we have the log.

The Events log was pretty clear and it showed all the changes that took place. After starting the monitoring process you can also minimize the app to the system tray.
